Great place to learn about General Longstreet
My husband who is now in Heaven loved this place.He would always drive by to bring back good memories he and our youngest child had here together.C.D Heck Jr. You sure did love any and and all things about the past history of the battles in our countries past.
This was a great experience. You can smell the oldness of the house which i loved. But history buffs will like the artifacts.
The museum is an unexpected gem in the little town of Russellville. The curator; Kelly; is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic . The house is in excellent condition and the displays/information of General Longstreet's tenure there are exceptional. I would rate this a must see to anyone interested in the history of the Civil War and it is very easily accessible from I-81. Pam and Bob Hightower.
